I See God

I see God in every face. Just people living their lives. People surviving, getting through life the best they can. You can see it in their faces, in their eyes, in their smiles. I see perseverance, I see love. I see all of us growing old and learning. I see God … and once again … I see love.

I left home at seventeen to hitchhike throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. I wouldn't return from my journey until years later when I decided to become a writer. I've written eight books. My first novel, Redemption: The Further Adventures of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, was awarded the Editors' Choice Award for Best Western of 2013. A subsequent novel, Yellow Hair, received the Book of the Year award from Just Reviews and Best Historical Fiction of 2016 from Colleen's Book Reviews.

  1. Great pictures from a similar period we are going through now. Kristin Hannah’s new book “The Four Winds” is a great novel about the depression and the drought that destroyed the Great Plains. That same fight for survival depicted in her writing, we can find throughout not only our country but the world. These pictures show that determination from that period.
