99 Cents While They Last (Good Only in the U.S.)

I left home at seventeen to hitchhike throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. I wouldn't return from my journey until years later when I decided to become a writer. I've written eight books. My first novel, Redemption: The Further Adventures of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, was awarded the Editors' Choice Award for Best Western of 2013. A subsequent novel, Yellow Hair, received the Book of the Year award from Just Reviews and Best Historical Fiction of 2016 from Colleen's Book Reviews.

  1. It’s $3.99 on Amazon. The link didn’t work, so I put your name and the book title into the search engine. I read the first 3 pages and would like to read the rest.

When I was in school and read about the conquistadors, it showed the southern Spanish with moorish heritage, which were darker than the lighter skinned people in Northern Spain. Interesting that the indigenous people of America would think of them as lighter skinned. The dynasty of Ab Al-Rahman lasted from around 750, until Isabel and Ferdinand destroyed the remaining vestiges. So much history, so many advancements were lost when the remains of a great civilization was destroyed.
