I as a child listened to my grandparents tell stories similar to what you have to say. Good read. A fan! LikeLike Reply Thanks Collette. Give my best to Tim O’Brien. LikeLike Reply Did you ever read Whose Names Are Unknown by Sonora Babb. It covers much the same material as John Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath and is a wonderful book. Rumor is, John Steinbeck saw her research when he was researching his book and beat her ito publication. She lost her deal because there wasn’t room for both. Her contract was cancelled.
